It is suitable for anyone with a history of ulcers or who has undergone amputations (this includes Charcot foot) and is also recommended for patients suffering from rheumatism and with serious deformities.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> rigid biomechanical outsole <\/strong>limits stress on the joints of the foot whilst the wearer is walking and significantly reduces pressure peaks on the forefoot, contributing to a proper distribution of pressure. The rigid outsole reduces the risk of re-ulceration in diabetic patients by over 50% (tests conducted by the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute (Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli), University of Bologna). With its \u201cboat\u201d-shaped design, it contributes to the push-off stage and helps the foot to roll more easily.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> stretchable upper<\/strong> without seams at friction points takes the shape of the foot, softly accommodating any deformities (such as a hallux valgus or hammer toes) and avoiding painful risky rubbing and chafing.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> double-velcro fastening<\/strong> means that the front of the upper can be opened, making for an easy entry.
