The rigid outsole reduces the risk of re-ulceration in diabetic patients by over 50% (tests conducted by the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute (Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli), University of Bologna).<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>raised stabilising counters <\/strong>can be adjusted with side splints that provide the ankle with greater stability.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>stretchable upper <\/strong>without seams at friction points takes on the shape of the foot, softly accommodating any deformities (such as a hallux valgus or hammer toes) and avoiding painful rubbing and chafing.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> double-velcro fastening<\/strong> means that the front of the upper can be opened, making for an easy entry.
