It was devised for patients who need to reduce pressure on the sole of the foot.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> rigid biomechanical outsole <\/strong>limits stress on the joints of the foot whilst the wearer is walking and significantly reduces pressure peaks on the forefoot, contributing to a proper distribution of pressure. The rigid outsole <strong>reduces the risk of re-ulceration<\/strong> in diabetic patients by over 50% (tests conducted by the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute (Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli), University of Bologna). With its \u201cboat\u201d-shaped design, it contributes to the push-off stage and helps the foot to roll more easily.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>heat-moldable upper <\/strong>can be adapted by specialists so it permanently offloads pressure and caters for any deformities of the foot, delivering added comfort and avoiding any painful rubbing.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> double-velcro fastening <\/strong>makes it easy to open the front of the sandal completely, making it extremely practical to wear.
