TOB

TOB is a universal post-surgery brace for the big toe which is easy and quick to put on. It is used as a simpler and less expensive “standardized” alternative to elastic-adhesive taping.

Created to be lightweight, sturdy, and non-bulky, TOB keeps the big toe in place, avoiding interference with Kirschner wires and allowing for a progressive temporary “hyper-correction” with the two velcro straps.

It is recommended for the post-surgical treatment of mini-invasive operations for hallux-valgus correction such as P.D.O., S.E.R.I., or Reverdin-Isham, preventing bedsores in the case of stabilizing percutaneous Kirschner wires.

Furthermore, it is recommended after operations to correct a hallux valgus with distal or proximal osteotomy of the first metatarsal bone or the basal phalanx whenever an alternative to a plaster cast is required for stabilization purposes.

Small and compact, it is also a valid solution for the stabilization of compound fractures of the first metatarsal bone and the big toe, it serves to prevent rubbing and reduces pain in acute arthritis.

TOB is extendable at the front, protecting the toes and allowing it to be used in bed.
